Ingredients:
- 500g fish fillet or prawns
- 1 medium sized onion
- 250g tinned button mushrooms
- 1 green pepper
- 1 Tbs butter
- 1⁄2 tsp Tabasco
- 2 cups milk
- 2 Tbs flour
- 1 Tbs butter
Method:
- Wash and cut fish into 2cm pieces.
- Dice onion and pepper. Slice mushrooms.
- Heat butter in a pan and sauté' the diced onion lightly. Add pepper and mushroom.
- Sauté' for another 2 minutes then add the fish, Tabasco, salt and pepper.
- Cook for 5 minutes. Leave aside.
Sauce:
- 2 cups milk
- 2 Tbs flour
- 1 Tbs butter
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Put the cold milk and flour in a saucepan. Mix well and let it boil.
- Add a Tbs of butter and salt.
- Let it cook for 10 minutes.
- Put the fish mixture in individual ramekin dishes or shell cases.
- Pour the white sauce over and sprinkle grated cheese and chopped parsley.
- Grill until slightly browned.
